  • Cancellation Policy

Cancellations are not accepted via email. A 21-day notice is required if you must change or cancel your reservation. If you cancel after that date, you may receive a refund of the deposit or credit for a future stay only if the room can be re-rented in full. If you cancel your reservation within 24 hours of your scheduled arrival date, you will be responsible for the room charges for your entire reservation (your credit card will be charged in addition to the deposit you have already paid). All refunds are subject to an administrative fee of $25. Unfortunately, There are NO EXCEPTIONS TO OUR POLICY.

Last-minute cancellations are usually due to a serious health issue, a family death, or some other family-related situations. While we understand that these things are outside a guest’s control, please understand that we cannot waive our policy for these tragic events. We cannot accept the financial responsibility for your misfortune.  As always, we will make every effort possible to re-rent the room and extend you a credit or refund if we are successful.

Weather-Related Cancellations: We will only waive our cancellation policy for a weather-related event that is declared a State of Emergency or when a Mandatory Evacuation has been ordered. Otherwise, a rainy or snowy day is never a bad day at The Queen Victoria.

    Smoking Policy

No Smoking. Smoking of any substance, including E-cigarettes, is prohibited anywhere on the grounds of The Queen Victoria.  We suggest heavy smokers seek other accommodations.

No Candles. For fire safety reasons no candles, incense or open flames are permitted in any portion of our property.

    Child Policy

Most guests staying at The Queen Victoria Bed & Breakfast are couples seeking a romantic getaway.  We are pleased to welcome well-behaved children who are at least 8 years old into the handful of rooms that can accommodate more than two people.  To be honest, most children don’t appreciate the charms of our beautiful Cape May Bed and Breakfast as much as their parents do.

Please don’t put yourself in the position of being turned away from the inn and forfeiting your deposit by bringing your well behaved infant or toddler along for your romantic getaway to The Queen Victoria.

    Pet Policy

Like most inns in Cape May, we cannot accommodate pets of ANY kind at The Queen Victoria®.

    Parking

Off-street parking is provided for five of our suites. One of The Queen Victoria®’s best features is its central location within the historic district. Most of Cape May’s attractions are within a block or two away (easy walking distance) from the inn, so you will not need your car once you arrive. We are conveniently located at the edge of the residential district, so free un-metered street parking is available on the blocks near the inn. For your convenience, during check-in and check-out we have loading areas located around our buildings.  Between November 1 and March 31 all parking meters in Cape May are turned off, so many more spaces surrounding the inn are available for our guests.

Cape May allows free parking at metered spaces for cars with handicap tags, either plates or hanging from the rearview mirror (you must feed the meter the 1st quarter).

    Packages/Discounts

Our Winter Escape and 234 discount programs are available during the cooler months and are available for both online and phone bookings. The packages can not be combined with other packages or paid with a third-party gift certificate. During some seasons we are pleased to offer Cape May vacation packages.

    Lost Personal Items
The Queen Victoria is not responsible for any personal items left in our rooms or at our properties. We log and hold on to any personal items we find for 6 months. Please contact us if you think you have left a personal item at The Queen Victoria. We do not contact guests as we often do not know who the actual items belong to.
