Friday, August 30

The Beach Bumz Band – Free Concert at Convention Hall

Where: Cape May Convention Hall

Enjoy a free concert at Convention Hall featuring The Beach Bumz. This band delights audiences with outstanding surf songs from greats like the Beach Boys and Jimmy Buffet. Sing and dance with this tribute band that brings the sounds of paradise to Labor Day in Cape May. The show takes place at the Cape May Convention Hall – 714 Beach Avenue at 6 pm.

 

The Rainmaker

Where: East Lynne Theatre Company

The Rainmaker, written by N. Richard Nash and directed by Gayle Stahlhuth, is a popular romantic comedy that has been translated, turned into a film, and adapted for the 1964 musical 110 in the Shade. Join the East Lynne Theatre Company for this 1930’s story of the Old West during the Depression.

Summer Send-Off Craft Show on the Promenade

Where: Cape May Promenade

You’ll find the best artisan pieces at this craft show! Here, crafters offering everything from jewelry to leather goods, fashion accessories, watercolors and more. There’s absolutely something for everybody here. Enjoy a little early holiday shopping or find the perfect items to commemorate your stay in Cape May.

 

John Walter Cape Community Band Concert

Where: Sunset Beach

At this free outdoor concert, you’ll enjoy an evening of toe-tapping and hands clapping with the John Walter Cape Community Band. Enjoy an exciting mix of marches, pop, Americana, and patriotic music that will delight audience members of all ages. Bring your own chairs and blankets. The concert will start immediately following the flag-lowering ceremony.

Enjoy this intimate portrait of America’s favorite sidekick – Ethel Mertz – on the last night of filming “I love Lucy.” You’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at the hit TV series “I Love Lucy” and watch Vivian Vance’s incredible untold stories come to life before your eyes.
