The spread of coronavirus continues to raise concerns for travelers in the US. To that end, we’d like to tell you about what we’re doing to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all our guests. Here’s some important information about Caronavirus in Cape May, a list of what we’re doing to keep our Cape May Inn clean and safe, plus a few smart-travel tips.

The Coronavirus in Cape May

As of March 12, there have been no reported cases of Coronavirus in Cape May County and the risk to the public remains very low.

The Queen Victoria

The Queen Victoria is an award-winning Cape May Bed & Breakfast with luxury accommodations. Our grounds are meticulously kept, and our Victorian-era buildings are painstakingly restored. We’re located in the heart of Cape May’s wonderful historic district, moments away from beautiful beaches and two short blocks from the shopping and dining district. Our town is small and quiet but packed with coastal charm. It’s the perfect place to relax and pass time with the ones you love.

Cleanliness has always been our highest priority, but in response to heightened concerns about the Coronavirus, we have implemented a few additional items to the extensive list of cleanliness and sanitary practices we have always had in place.

Here is a list of everything we are doing to ensure a relaxing and carefree stay for all our guests:

  • Completely Sanitize Your Guest Room before arrival and during each daily and evening housekeeping service, including:
    • Disinfecting all frequently touched surfaces in your guest room:
      • Door handles and knobs
      • Light switches (both wall and lamp)
      • Remote controls (Heating/Air Conditioning and TV)
      • Dresser Pulls
      • Room Safe
      • Refrigerator handles
      • Keurig coffee maker handle (for rooms that have them)
      • Bathroom fixtures
      • Thermostats
      • Alarm Clocks
  • We have sanitized all of our room keys and fobs, and will do so again with each set as they are handed back to us.
  • All staff will be wearing a fresh pair of gloves each time they enter your room.
  • All linens, including sheets, bedspread, towels, robes, and shower curtain liners are washed with sanitizing bleach prior to your arrival.
  • All Table Linens are washed with sanitizing bleach prior to setting each place.
  • All dining tables are being sanitized prior to setting each place for each use
  • All dishes, glasses, cups, mugs & silverware are washed in commercial High Temperature sanitizing dishwashers with sanitizing dish soap after each use.
  • The powder rooms in each building are cleaned and sanitized several times each day.
  • We have already received our new Touchless Hand Sanitizing Dispensers. The Sanitizer we ordered has been shipped and will be arriving shortly. They will be placed throughout the inn:
    • At the Front Desk
    • In every Pantry
    • In every Dining Room

While we advise everyone to travel smartly and safely, The Queen Victoria is open and happily welcoming guests. We’re ideally situated in the heart of beautiful Cape May, just a few steps from the Atlantic Ocean and our delightful downtown.
