Christmas in Cape May 2024 officially starts on November 23. Where better to celebrate than in Victorian Cape May? Events kick off at Cape May Holiday Preview Weekend with the annual tree lighting, followed by a full month of Cape May Christmas special events.

Christmas in Cape May is just as fun. This year, enjoy a special celebration lineup that includes three featured events plus ongoing Christmas activities through the first week in January.

Cape May Christmas Tree Lighting | November 23, 2024, at 7pm 

This year, the annual Cape May Christmas Tree Lighting features the Atlantic Brass Band performing all your holiday favorites. Enjoy free admission to the Physick House Museum and a special appearance by Santa! Don’t miss this chance to celebrate all that’s merry and bright!

 

Christmas Candlelight House Tours | December 7, 14, and 21

Cape May Christmas Candlelight House Tours are a beloved annual tradition for all to enjoy. The first tour was launched in 1973 and remains a highlight of the Christmas season. Tours take place on three nights in December. Explore Cape May homes, bed & breakfast inns, churches, and hotels – all with beautifully decorated holiday interiors. This self-guided tour is one of MAC’s biggest fund-raisers. Maps are provided and a local trolley shuttle travels on a planned route with limited stops. Walking is encouraged to get the most out of the tour. Advanced purchase is highly recommended.

 

‘Tis the Season: The Christmas Caper | Wednesdays and Fridays in December 

Experience a captivating Christmas adventure at the Physick Estates. The Christmas Caper unfolds as the Harrison children meticulously prepare for their parents’ annual yuletide soirée. But when a cherished family heirloom vanishes, the festive atmosphere is jeopardized. Will you assist in recovering the precious jewels, ensuring a joyous celebration? Or will this holiday season be remembered as the most disappointing yet? Immerse yourself in this elegant, interactive performance and help save Christmas!

Tour Cape May on one of Cape May MAC’s open-air trolley rides this holiday season. Holiday tours begin on November 19. Holiday tours are scheduled to begin on Cape May Christmas Preview Weekend and will run through early January.
