Celebrate Easter in Cape May at The Queen Victoria 

Spring may just be getting started but you can certainly feel it in the air. Coming up? Cape May Easter festivities, beginning on April 1.  

Cape May is the perfect place to celebrate Easter. Each year, Cape May offers a host of Easter events suitable for every taste and interest. There are Easter egg hunts, an Easter stroll with prizes, and even a special Easter kegg hunt at Cold Spring Village.  

Plus, at The Queen Victoria, you’ll find several rooms (each uniquely decorated) that reflect the bright and cheerful spirit of the holiday.

Lillie Langtry 

Lillie Langtry is a bright and cheery room perfect for celebrating Easter and spring. It features pretty floral wallpaper, a lush queen bed with a beautiful pastel quilt, and a vintage Victorian headboard, dresser, plus high-backed chair. Lillie also has a large private bathroom with tub, shower, and European style hydro-massage head. 

 

Covent Garden 

Covent Garden is a ground floor luxury suite in Prince Albert Hall. It features a private enterance, romantic brass canopy bed, plus vintage Victorian dresser, adding old world charm. There is also a twin day bed in the sitting room which can accommodate a third person. In the bathroom, you’ll find a large step-in shower, separate water closet for the toilet, and beautiful quartz vanity countertop. 

 

Mayfair 

Mayfair is a beautiful, large, premium room. It’s bright and cozy with a romantic canopy bed nestled into the bed nook.  A beautiful vintage Victorian sofa and marbletop “Eastlake” dresser complete the room. The bathroom in the Mayfair features a beautiful two-tiered marble counter with lots of “set down” space for your toiletries and boasts an elegant, large step-in shower. 

 

More Cape May Easter Activities 

Easter ExtravaganZoo | March 30 at 10am

Visit Cape May County Park and Zoo for the very special Cape May Easter EggstravaganZoo. This free event stars the Easter Bunny on Saturday, March 30 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Visitors may enjoy photo opportunities with the popular rabbit – so bring your camera. Additional Easter events run from March 29 through April 7. Enjoy educational displays, a scavenger hunt, plus crafts and live animal encounters.

 

Easter Kegg Hunt at Historic Cold Spring Village | March from 12pm to 3pm 

A fun outdoor Easter event, festivities start at Cold Spring Brewery and continue throughout the village where participants hunt for eggs with a special answer sheet. Each egg contains a question. Mark it on your sheet and keep hunting. At the end, put your answer sheet into the Easter Kegg. One winner will take home a growler from the brewery filled with your beer of choice (a fill fee still applies, though). 

 

Cape May Easter Fashion Stroll | Sunday, March 31 at 1pm 

Put on your Easter best for the annual Easter Fashion Stroll in Rotary Park. Registration opens at noon. This year, judges will look for the best-dressed in the following categories: 3 and younger, 4 to 6, 7 to 9, 10 to 12, and 13 and older. Prizes also for the best-dressed lady, man, couple, family, and Easter bonnets. Participating merchants on the Washington Street Mall offer special giveaways following the stroll. There is no rain date for this event.
