Each year, we plan serval fun happenings like Chocolate buffets, a cheese-tasting party, and special Sweet & Savory events. Many consider Cape May a summertime destination and it’s true that the summer months are busiest. But winter, spring, and fall are also lovely times to visit, especially if you’re looking to slow down, relax, and enjoy special offerings like these.

January through April, enjoy special deals and room rates at The Queen Victoria. Take advantage of our Winter Escape package and give yourself a nice discount for January, February, and March. These Cape May special events at The Queen Victoria are free for all inn guests.

CHOCOLATE LOVERS WEEKEND
At The Queen Victoria, we celebrate chocolate three times a year, every year. Our first weekend launched on Mother’s Day 2018 and has since become one of the most popular Cape May special events at the inn.
Join us for a weekend of Chocolate indulgence in January, May, and/or November of 2023. It’s the perfect way to spend a few days enjoying Cape May and a delicious buffet of chocolate – truffles, home and locally made baked goods, exotic specialty chocolates, and more. It’s an amazing afternoon you’re sure to remember for years to come.

BIG CHEESE WEEKEND
In addition to The Queen Victoria Chocolate Lover’s Weekend, we also host semi-annual cheese-tasting parties in early spring and fall. This year, we bring you an assortment of cheese from all over the world labeled with its country of origin and facts about how it’s made and other interesting pieces of information. We also serve bread from local bakeries along with a selection of specialty olive oils and other tasty goodies.
We welcome guests to bring their own wine. Wine tends to become communal, so bring something you’re comfortable sharing!

NEW SWEET & SAVORY WEEKEND
Join us at The Queen Victoria for a Sweet & Savory extravaganza. At this special event, we’ll serve several tasty and complementary foods, each more decadent than the next. Think sweet fruit, honey, and chocolate paired with savory (possibly spicey) cheese, crackers, pretzels, and the like. Just as with our Big Cheese Weekend, we welcome you to bring your favorite wine to sip while you enjoy your sweet and savory snacks.

Pair Cape May Special Events at The Queen Victoria with Holiday Getaways
You’ll notice our special event dates do not correspond with holidays or holiday weekends. However, you may choose to postpone or delay holiday celebrations (in some cases, by just a week) in order to take advantage of The Queen Victoria package savings.
