Home of the iconic Cape May Lighthouse, Cape May Point State Park is a lovely place to visit for a refreshing morning or afternoon of bird-seeing, biking or visiting historical sights.  At just nine minutes by car from The Queen Victoria, it’s easy to make the park a part of your next summer vacation in Cape May.

Three trails lead off from the parking lot on the park’s west side: the half-mile Red trail, which is wheelchair-accessible, and the 1.5 and 2-mile Yellow and Blue trails.  These lead one on a tour of the park’s best features, including ponds, wetland marsh, a dune and the Cape May beach.  Keep an eye out for birds on your way: the park is well known as one of the country’s best places to view the fall migration each year, though different species can be seen year round!

For a picnic, a walk, or even a spell by the beach, the State Park could easily become one of your favorite Cape May, NJ things to do.
