Come Enjoy Fall In Cape May

Cape May In September

Published on September 01, 2017

Labor Day Weekend may be here, but there is still lots of time to enjoy the beauty of Cape May. September is a great time to visit the cape and participate in many festivities, events and activities that are just as enjoyable as the hot summertime events. As our 90 degree days slip away, we welcome the cooler upper 70 degree temperatures and the early signs of the seasons changing. Don’t think that just because it is Labor Day Weekend, that it is time for the fun and festivities to end. Check out some of our favorite September activities.

September 2nd & 3rd – The Summer Send-Off Craft Show at the Promenade is a craft-lover’s dream.  What is better than spending a Saturday or Sunday cruising through the craft fair market to admire some incredible crafts and trinkets?  The Summer Send-Off is from 10am – 5pm each day.

September 16th – The Harvest Brew Fest at the Physick Estate is a great September celebration of all things South Jersey.  Enjoy food from local food vendors, check out products by local artisans, sip local craft beers while rocking out to local musicians perform.  This all day festival takes place from 10am-6pm.

September 30th – Oktoberfest is a must in Cape May. Listen to authentic German music and enjoy tasty German food. Check out the artisan tables for crafts, antiques and other collectibles. Visit the Beer Garden to indulge in some German brews. Oktoberfest will be held all day from 10am-5pm between Decatur & Jackson Street.

September is also a great time for a lighthouse tour. The Cape May Lighthouse was built in 1859 and aided mariners for years.  With a variety of different tours available, you can customize your tour experience, making it a perfect match for you. Learn more about the Cape May Lighthouse here.

You can also enjoy a trolley ride, tour Cape May by bike, or a Cape May boat tour. September is also a great time for a whale watching cruise.

Don’t think that Cape May isn’t worth visiting in September for a minute. Trust us. That is one mistake you do not want to make.  Make your Cape May reservations today.
