MEET DON PETTIFER

Some of you may know Don Pettifer. On several occasions, Don has been our innsitter while we were on family vacations and has been manager of Queen's Hotel. Don's scholarly abilities have also been put to good use by the media. You may have read his regular feature articles in the "Gaslight Review", and he has been heard frequently on local radio.

We consider Don to be one of Cape May's more interesting and qualified people. We first met him when he was the Director of Collections and Interpretation at Wheaton Village in Millville. Don later came to Cape May as the Director of Historic Cold Spring Village, a 25-acre living history museum. As the first museum professional at the Village, Don instituted a number of creative and innovative preservation and interpretation programs and put the Village on a serious museum track. Don's experiences at the Village make him one of the few people we know who can put "shepherd" and "blacksmith" on their resume. Don's personal priorities have put being in Cape May ahead of continuing his twenty-five year museum career, much to our delight.
